Windows 7 shortcut keys to arrange windows more intelligibly

Snap windwos from side to side – Windows logo key + left and right arrow keys
Restore, and minimize a window – Windows key + the up and down arrows to maximize
Vertically expand a window – Windows logo key + shift+ up arrow

Another cool windows feature is “Arrow shake,” allowing the minimization of every window but the one you’re working with.
Click the title bar, and move it from side to side quickly at least three times. If you did it by accident, just repeat the gesture to put things back the way they were.

See Ed Bott’s video for these new features in Windows 7 to help you multitask more effectively.
