Word: Brobdingnagian.

“Brobdingnagian” (brob-ding-NAG-ee-un) is another way of saying “enormous.” The word is derived from Brobdingnag, the name of a country of giants in Jonathan Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels.

Example (as used by Russ Mitchell in Fortune magazine): “The venture capital business has a size problem. A monstrous, staggering, stupefying one. Brobdingnagian even.”
