If you work a lot with Windows XP’s command prompt, you will be used to the cool auto complete feature, activated by typing the key. This same can be activated too on any version of Windows 2000 by making the following Registry change:
- Using an account with administrative privileges run Regedit.
- Browse to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Command Processor
- In the right pane double click the ‘CompletionChar‘ DWORD value, type 9 click OK.
- Close Regedit and start the command prompt to test the auto complete feature.
