Windows Live Messenger Beta goes public.
March 28, 2006Get the New Build of Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview.
March 23, 2006
As part of Bill Gates’s keynote at the recent MIX conference, Microsoft released a new build of Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview. This Beta 2 Preview is available for download on the IE Web site and does not require an MSDN or TechNet subscription to download.
Is this build (5335.5) worth installing? It’s worth the effort for the RSS features alone, in our opinion. The IE team says this is just one more step on the path to the official Beta 2, due in the first half of 2006, as well as the final product expected in the second half of 2006. But it’s solid enough — and easy enough to remove if you have a problem with it — that we think it marks a good point to begin testing, if you haven’t already begun.
As always, the best places to find out more about this or any other Internet Explorer information is the IE Home Page, the IE Developer Center, or the IEBlog.
